I use the X-Accel-Redirect / X-Sendfile on Settings -> Products -> Downloadable products and the “Allow using redirect mode (insecure) as a last resort” is enabled.

On the File URL of Product Downloadable file I set external url.

At the confirmation email the link of “Download” send to “Invalid download link. Go to shop”

The server is not NGINX.

Is that the issue? Do we have NGINX server?

Can we have external link on “Download” link? Or the only way is to download the files?

What I want is to give access to the customers on https://xxxxx.net site, is that possible?

If you are using an external URL for your downloadable product, please note that links from some cloud storage providers only work when File download method is set to Redirect only (insecure) based on FAQ advisory here.

Could you please switch your File Download Method to Redirect only (insecure) and see if it resolves the issue?

To clarify, it’s insecure because it makes it so that anyone with the file URL for a download associated with a product can use that URL to access that file even if they haven’t purchased the product that grants them access.

The other methods do a better job of preventing this. In that case, you might want to use a download manager to add a level of security and try some of these:
