WYSIWYG is messing up html tags

Hi,

When ever i try to post content from the WYSIWYG editor it removes the html tags

say for example I enter this in the code section of the html:

<p> some text </p>
<p> more test </p>

It displays this (the html source code)

some text
more text

which in the browser just gets displayed as:

some text more text

Has anybody else have this problem. I read the forum and they are people posting some rather complicated hack to solve the problem. Is there just was I can get it to not reformat any html I enter?
