• Hi,

Using a clean install of WP 5.6 with the default theme, no plugins activated beside the latest free version of ACF and CPT UI.

I have added a WYSIWYG custom field to my custom post type but when I try to edit a post, the Visual Editor appears to be disabled. I cannot enter any text. It works fine in text mode but this not what I want to show to my users.

Any idea about how to fix this ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Patrick

Oooops ! I just noticed that the problem appears to be Firefox specific. No problem in Chrome or Edge.

Clearing the Firefox cache has fixed the problem.

    Don’t ask me why.

    Hi,

Actually, clearing the Firefox cache was just a temporary fix. The problem is back today even for WYSIWYG custom fields that worked correctly after the cache clearing I made yesterday.

Experiencing Same issue on Firefox. Disabled Classic Editor, problem goes away for moment and after refresh, the problem persists again. Can anybody confirm?

I’ve got the same issue on Chrome with a clean install using ACF and CPT UI
