For some reason the WP sites I’m running with the WordPress SEO plugin are not redirecting from domain.com to https://www.domain.com as they should.

Disabling the plugin fixes this but I really love the features of this plugin so am a little loathed to do that.

    Any ideas on a fix?

    Thanks

  • We are also having this problem.

Site redirects from domain.com to https://www.domain.com without WordPress SEO plugin enabled but not when WordPress SEO plugin is enabled.

I am sure that when we first tested thiss site that this was not the case with 0.3 version of the plugin.

Is this something that has been changed in latest versions?

As above really like the plugin feature so do not want to have to remove it.

Any ideas on how to resolve it ?

    Thanks

I still haven’t found a solution to this I’m afraid (other than downgrading the plugin to the previous 0.3.X version).

On Twitter the author (@Yoast) recommended replacing the canonical function at line 503 of inc/class-sitemaps.php with this https://yoa.st/kUSqCC but I had no joy with that solution. You might have better luck though (obviously back everything up first).

What plugins and theme are you running? Maybe we can find a common cause…

I’m using a customised version of WooThemes Gazette and running the following plugins:

    Contact Form 7
    Disqus Comment System
    FD Feedburner Plugin
    Google Analytics for WordPress
    Jetpack by WordPress.com
    MediaRSS
    Redirection
    W3 Total Cache
    Widget Logic
    Wordpres SEO
    WP to Twitter

OK – I’ve found that enabling “clean permalinks” in the plugin settings seems to fix this issue both with and without the code edit above.

    Thanks for the updates.

We have a custom theme and only common plugins are

    Wordpres SEO
    WP to Twitter

We tested the site extensively when we were developing it and it all worked OK. Only updates have been the core WordPress updates to 3.13 and the updated WordPress to SEO plugin.

Definetly looks like an isssue with latest Wordpres SEO plugin changes.

Will have a further look at the isssue later this week

This is fixed with 0.4.2, which was just released.
