- It’s OK to not like the new editor.
- It’s OK to be upset.
- It’s OK to have problems.
- It’s OK to try to help.
- It’s OK to provide feedback.
It is never OK to use hateful and discriminatory language. That’s not part of any conversation, that’s just hateful and people who do that get banned from this place. There’s just no conversing with people like that.
Look, I hope the world is not driven by angry mobs. Hate brigading isn’t how innovation works and neither is abuse. Looking at a group of upset users may be feedback.
But hateful language, rage posting? Thats not “listening to the people” that’s an angry crowd trying to get what they want using abuse. If you think abuse is how anything works here then you may want to move on to something else.
Keep it civil. No one here is anyone’s punching bag for your abuse. This isn’t a company. Despite people’s complete and intentional misunderstanding and conspiracy theories, Automattic isn’t driving this for “corporate reasons”.
Your intentional misconstruing of people’s motives, your disappointment, your rage posts don’t define the volunteers working on this community project. When you do that it does define you.
