Wrong Views Number displayed

    Hi

    I am looking at post views listed n the View all posts page, and it says my latest post has over 17,000 views. This is not possible, and I have verified it is not correct by checking Google Analytics.

    The rest of my post counts seem okay – is there a way I can reset this post’s post count?

    The views and GA will never be the same. GA has their own way of counting and it might not include scrapers or bots or search engine.

    You can reset it by modifying the “views” custom field of each post in the edit post page.

    Yeh, but this was way off, it said 17,000 post views on a website that doesn’t get that many views in a year.

    Oh I have just spotted what happened.

    The new post was a DUPLICATE post that I was using as a template to create anew post – so the view count was also duplicated – mystery solved!
