I have a website with Site Kit plugin installed. However, it is currently not working and I am getting an error message:

Error: Looks like your site is not allowed access to Google account data and can’t display stats in the dashboard. To fix this, redo the plugin setup.

When I click on “redo the plugin setup”, it takes me to a https://sitekit.withgoogle.com/site-management/setup/… but when I click “Proceed” it is pointing to the wrong URL. Instead of https://bethanyfamilypetclinic.com/ when I hover over the “Proceed” button it shows https://bk.bethanyfamilypetclinic.com/wp-admin/…

I have used this URL in the past, but I’m not sure why it would be stuck in the plugin. I downloaded a export of the database, and did find one occurrence of bk.bethanyfamilypetclinic.com, which I replaced. I then re-uploaded this to the database. However, it still persists in the plugin. I’ve tried de-activating and re-activating (after saving permalinks) but still the same issue. I’ve also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin with no success.

Is there any way I can fix this?

Sorry to hear you’ve been having trouble setting up and using the plugin, we’d be happy to assist and ensure it’s working as expected.

In relation to the mentioned incorrect URL did you at any stage restore the site from a backup? If you’d like to attempt setup once more now that you’ve made changes to the incorrect reference URL in your database you can try the steps below:

    1. Temporarily switch your “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)” from https://bethanyfamilypetclinic.com to https://bethanyfamilypetclinic.com in your WordPress General Settings configuration.
    2. You may then be logged out of your site. Log back in and then undo the changes you made (reverting back to the full address with https)
    3. Reset Site Kit and attempt setup once more

Please let me know if that works for you. If not please share your Site Health information here or privately?

As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.

I am running into the same issue – the url shown is from my beta site. Not sure how to fix.
Problem was solved by reseting the plug-in and doing the full set-up again.

On my site, I have used the Site kit plugin and the same file backup we have used on the staging site. When I click on “redo the plugin setup” it’s redirecting to the staging site. I tried disconnecting the account and re-configured it on the live site but till redirecting to the staging site.
