• I’m having issues with Yoast SEO causing the wrong <title> to be displayed for a CPT from ACF. The title for all CPT “listings” pages is showing the latest blog post title. All other titles on the website are showing correctly.

the_title() is returning the correct title for the CPT when used inside the content error. Also, the title shows correctly in the Yoast SEO Box on the CPT pages.

Deactivating Yoast SEO returns the <title> correctly.

I’ve tried “Force Rewrites” but that didn’t change anything.

Why might the be happening and how can I fix it? Ideally I’d like to use Yoast SEO on the site. Is it possible to prevent Yoast SEO for CPTs only?

    Thanks,
    Clinton

    Yoast SEO 6.0
ACF Content Analysis for Yoast SEO 2.0.1

P.S. If this plugin is supposed to help with Yoast and ACF compatibility and not just the Content Analysis then the title of this plugin is very misleading and confusing.

Further to my original information, something that is important. Because we are using a custom URL structure, we had to write a new plugin that essentially turned a 404 page into a real page. I’m thinking this is likely where the issue is stemming from. I just noticed the page is set to noindex even with all the options turned to index. I’m still not sure why it would be showing the Meta Title as the latest blog post though.

    Any thoughts?
