    You should double check your main settings for WordPress also. You can view them in:

    Settings > General > “Timezone”

    Let me know if that helps.

    hello,

    i checked the settings: UTC+1!

    I can confirm the problem. My timezone is set (correctly) to New York, but my calendar widget is showing event times in UTC. Oddly, my calendar page and shortcodes are showing the correct times–only the widget is broken.

    @quadratfix,

    Can you try using a city that has the same timezone to see if that fixes it? I think there may be a bug between using the “+/-” type values vs the “city” values so I am curious if that changes anything for you. Also be sure to clear the cache after you try that.

    @rich,

    Are you using the “New York” option or the “UTC-5” option in the admin? I am curious as noted above for @quadratfix. Also if you could send me a link I would be glad to take a look.

    Thanks!

    Hi Nick,

    great! That works! ?? Setting Berlin instead UTC+1 was the solution.

    Thank you very much.

    Glad that worked for you. Thank you for confirming.

    That is just how the link needs to be formatted when sending a timezone along to the Google API. Are you having an issue with it?

    Assuming this is fully resolved now since there has not been a response recently.

    If you run into more issues be sure to let us know so we can help.

    Thanks!

    When in WP timezone is choosen as UTC+1, the widget-link is formatted without “ctz=…..”,
    Timezone in WP as “Europe/Berlin” the link ist formatted correctly.

    Are you still having an issue with this?

    No I haven’t. I just wanted to explain different behavior of the timezone option and the calendar widget.
