Wrong sender email address

In the general settings of MainWP I can set in “Notification Emails” the email(s) to send to.

The default WordPress sender address would be “[email protected]”.

However it seems to use the “Email Address” from General WordPress Settings, which is meant to be sent to with notifications by WordPress and not meant to be used as sender address.

This behavior can cause the E-Mail notifications do be sent to SPAM folder, because both addresses don’t have to be on the same (sub-) domain.

So my question is:
Is there a way to set the sender email address or at least use the standard [email protected] sender address?
