• Hi,
    I used yesterday for the first time the new post email notification thanks to this plugin.
    There are two admin for this website. Let’s call the main one “Peter” and the second one “Mary”.
    However I saw two problems:

    – subscribers must be notified from the main admin which is also the one who actually post (Peter). But yesterday some subscribers received the notification either from him (and his email adresse) either from Mary with her email address

    – for some subscribers, there if no link in the email received towards the new post. My settings are “Receive email as HTML – Full”

    Thank you for your help and a great plugin ! ??

    The email sender address is a setting at Subscribe2 > Settings under the Email Settings tab. There is a drop down where it says ‘Send Email From’. Choose the account you want to act as sender there – or ever set up a dummy account with a preferred email address and use that one.

    As for your second issue, existing WordPress ‘Users’ are not automatically signed up to get emails on installation. You can bulk subscriber your existing users in the Subscribe2 > Subscribers page, under the Registered Subscribers tab and scroll to the bottom of the page looking for the Bulk Management section.

    Hi,
    First post today since last week and some subscribers said that there is still no link in the email they receive. So this is not fixed…
    All the best,

    @ehquionest

    Of course it isn’t fixed, you haven’t posted anything for nearly a week after my original reply. You need to look into this with the advice I try to give.

    Your setting may well be “Receive email as HTML – Full” but that setting is specific to your email address and your subscription. It is not a global setting.

    I suspect there is an issue in your email template if some users are not getting links, perhaps you can post your template on here so we can check.

    Yes i haven’t post, because I only post once a week on the blog, so I had to wait for a week, to try your plugin again.

    I have to say that some users received the automatic email with the link, others not. My template is bellow:

    Bonjour,
    J’ai posté un nouveau billet intitulé “{TITLE}” sur mon site internet.
    A bient?t !
    Pierre Blanc
    => Vous recevez cet email car vous avez demandé à être notifié de toute nouvelle parution
    => Contactez-moi si vous ne souhaitez plus recevoir ces messages

    Thank you ??

    @ehquionest

    Your template doesn’t contain a link that would work for plain text emails. In HTML emails the {TITLE} will be hyperlinked back to your site but hyperlinks don’t work in plain text emails.

    You need to put the {PERMALINK} keyword into your template.

    Ok great, I will try this for next time ! Thank you.
