After schedule sale date ends the price is set to the discounted not to the original one.

    For instance: I set a discounted price from € 100 to € 60 until March 31, then on April 1st the price will be: € 60 !!! Not the expected € 100.

Please not the is NOT a problem with WP cron jobs since the offer ends correctly on the scheduled date.

    Please correct this bug.

    Thanks.

  • Hi!

    Thanks for reaching out!

To clarify, you scheduled a product for sale, and after the sale date ended you didn’t see the the price go back up?

Can you please provide screenshots of your product sale settings so that we can take a closer look?

Additionally can you double check your site’s timezone settings and make sure that you are using the correct timezone?

While we wait to hear from you I’ve started a test sale to try and reproduce this behaviour and will let you know if I can do so.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

    You correctly understood my problem:
“I scheduled a product for sale, and after the sale date ended I didn’t see the the price go back up but stay at the discounted lower price.”

I double checked the time zone, it’s correctly set.

The screenshot you asked me you may look at personally:

    Any solution yet?

    Hey @passegua

Can you also share a screenshot of the product settings? I’m particularly interested in the General tab.

    Hey @passegua,

Thanks for the screenshot. This shows that the sale price of €80 is valid from January 1, to March 31. Since we’re still in February, the sale date hasn’t ended yet and so it’s normal that you still see the sale price on your web site.

Hey @senff please read carefully what I wrote in the first message:

After schedule sale date ends the price is set to the discounted not to the original one.

In the screenshot case: I set a discounted price from € 100 to € 80 until March 31, then on April 1st the price will be: € 80 !!! Not the expected € 100.

You may check yourself what I am writing.

Please not the is NOT a problem with WP cron jobs since the offer ends correctly on the scheduled date.

    Please correct this bug.

The screenshot is the actual setting, but I am talking about what happened one month ago.

    I set a discounted price from € 100 to € 80 until January 31, then on February 1st the price was: € 80 !!! Not the expected € 100.

    Did you understand?

You may check yourself: set an expiring date at tomorrow then you will see what I mean.

    Hey @passegua

We won’t be able to troubleshoot a problem that hasn’t occurred yet. Can you show a screenshot of the (settings of a) product where the Sale date expired on February 1st, but on the site it still shows the sale date?

    Thread Starter passegua

    (@passegua)

    Sure!
I changed the setting as in the attached screenshots

Tonight at 23.59.59 the offer will expire so tomorrow I’ll check the error and will send you a new screenshot.

You will see that tomorrow the price will still be discounted at 80 and not back to full price 100.

Just updated WooCommerce to 5.1.0 so I’ll test if the problem has been solved.

On March 12 I’ll check if the price of the expired offer will be correct. From 80 (discounted price) back to 100 (full price).

    Here the setting:
