Wrong redirect page after enter password

    Hi PPWP Team,

    I want to inform you that there is one issue when I have protect my entire site using PPWP plugin and while I visit my site using parameter action=ppw_postpass E.g. https://www.example.com?action=ppw_postpass or I try have once error password and the page will redirect with parameter action=ppw_postpass. The problem when I have already login with this parameter I redirecting to blog page but the url still on the homepage site.

    I have trying to search for a couple day also with disable the others plugins and when I have disabled one of plugin named theme-my-login. So I think there is something wrong on the plugin that make your plugin redirect to wrong place.

    Do you have any idea to solve? Or you can solve by revise your code? with not for to disable the theme-my-login plugin.

    To assist you better, could you please provide us some information in more deitals please?

    1. A screenshot/screencast about the issue you are facing for us to take a look and reproduce the issue.
    2. Which hosting server and cache server are you using? Did you temporarily disable the cache while checking?
    3. What PPWP Lite and Pro version you’re using?

    Thank you for the replay.

    Sure, here is the details:

    1. Before I attach the screenshot maybe I have to describe first the flow:
      1. visit to my site which is the condition is locked and I have to enter the password.
      2. I have trying to enter the password but, I enter with wrong password and press “enter” buton
      3. Now I enter with correct password and then the page redirect me to blog page, but the url is correctly. Here is the screenshot: https://tinyurl.com/2xnk9z7r
    2. I’am using AWS
    3. I’am using Lite version

    Thank you for the information.

    The issue occurs only when you use the ‘action=ppw_postpass’ parameter or enter the incorrect password initially and then enter the correct one on the second attempt. It doesn’t occur if the ‘action=ppw_postpass’ parameter isn’t displayed.

    And the problem will be resolved if you disable the Theme My Login plugin, is that correct?

    Could you please provide us with a sample password and the corresponding URL for testing purposes?

    If you are utilizing the redirection feature of the Theme My Login plugin, could you kindly share with us how you have configured it?

    Hi @buildwps,

    After looking for a few days, I have found the solution without disable the plugin Theme My Login plugin. I have replaced your plugin code by hook “ppw_sitewide_before_validate_password” and actually I have no Idea why exactly the plugin conflicted. I hope you can consider to fix this minor bug, not major bug but little bit annoying user while login in protected page.
