• Hi Xnau,

    Using Participant Database 1.4.9.3
We use your plugin for our sign-up form. Our customer (Marc White) signed up and received a private link with PID that does not exist. The weird thing is that his name shows up in DB with another PID that works.

What is a possible fix to this problem?
    Thanks for all your help

    Linda

I have no idea how this might happen. I’ve tried several possibilities and the private ID stays the same in the record, so how your user would get a different private ID I can’t say. That the one he got was not a valid number is very puzzling, considering how it works. Is there any possibility he singed up twice?

He might have signed up twice. Help me understand how signing up more than once might cause the setup of an invalid PID in the private link

BTW, outside of this current issue, really appreciate your plugin. Very useful.

    Linda,

The only way I can think of is if one of the records was deleted or altered. If a record is overwritten by a second submission (possible, depending on the settings) the private ID remains unchanged, so there must have been a second record. That’s the best guess I have…if it made sense, I could tell you what happened!

If it was repeatable, I could solve it for sure, but I’ve never heard of this happening, and I’m guessing it won’t happen again.
