Wrong post being displayed

  • I entered the following shortcode on a blank page
    ‘[display-posts post-type=”recipe”]’ and instead of a listing of recipes, I got a listing of my most recent posts. I am actually trying to implement
    ‘[display-posts post-type=”recipe” category=”xcatslug”]’ so I can list my recipes from a specific category instead of displaying a long one page list.

    The post type of recipe is created by WP Ultimate Recipe Plugin (Pro)
    I am using a Genesis Theme with Backcountry child theme
