    Hi there,

I’m having lots of troubles with Facebook for Woocommerce

    1) Facebook says it’s WordPress/Woo and WordPress says it’s Facebook’s fault.
    2) Within my Facebook for Woocommerce plugin, it only lets me select one pixel that is NOT the correct pixel… when I choose “manage connection” – the drop down won’t allow me to select the correct pixel… it also won’t let me manually type the correct pixel. They say, “The Pixel was installed from the WooCommerce platform which they will automatically install on your Website once you have selected the Pixel.” I need to remove the wrong pixel and change it to the correct one.
    3) My catalog uploaded from my wordpress site, but I’m unable to add this catalog to my Facebook page.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @alenawitz!

Thanks so much for reaching out to us here, I appreciate it!

Right now, you can only choose a pixel that’s been created from a personal ad account and not a business account. Ideally, this is the pixel that gets created during setup, but we understand that people may want to use another pixel.

As such, in a forthcoming update, we’ll have the option to use pixels from business accounts as well.

Do you think this might be the issue you’re encountering?

Please do let me know and, of course, if you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

    Thanks so much!

Hi Folks, having issues with Facebook for woo commerce plugin.

Went through each of the steps, selected the Facebook page, selected the pixel to use, synced our products etc.

No products appearing in Facebook shop, even though we synced them. When we go into the plugin settings within WooCommerce and go to manage the connection the Facebook pixel being displayed is not the one we selected during setup and we cant change this. When we go back into the setup for the plugin to the pixel section we get an error message saying…

‘The pixel installed on this WooCommerce site belongs to another ad account. Contact the person with admin privileges for the currently installed pixel to change it.’

so we dont know who owns this pixel.. we cant change it, please help.

    Hi @nettl!

Happy to help out here. ??

First, are you seeing any products in the Facebook Catalog Manager?

Next, did someone else do any setup for the site/Facebook at some point in the past? Or has it been you this whole time?

Finally, can I ask what version of the plugin you’re running?

Thanks so much for any other information here!

    Hi @nettl,

Thanks for coming back to me, I appreciate it!

Would you please log in to your Facebook account and go to Facebook Business Settings? Here, you should see a page like this:

    https://cloud.skyver.ge/eDu6m84Q

If you can’t select the right pixel by clicking Edit next to it here, I’d recommend we try a full reset by having you remove your settings from Facebook entirely and starting out with a new pixel that you do have control over.

Would you please give that a try and let me know if that helps out?

    Thank you so much.

Hi Julie, trying to edit the pixel just bring me back to the pixel page in the setup wizard with the same error message previously reported. I have removed the pixel and went through the setup again. Still no joy. Im logged into the Fight Klub Facebook account. Ive selected the Fight Klub page page from the drop down menu, when it comes to selecting the pixel the only option of a pixel to choose is my NETTL ad account, which is not the right account to be using. It needs to be the pixel / ad account of Fight Klub. so im no further on. I have some screen grabs, but I cant seem to attached them to this chat.

    Hi @nettl!

Thanks for coming back with more details here, I appreciate it.

Could I ask you to please open up a support request with us here?

I’d like us to do a little more troubleshooting to see if we can figure out the issue. Would you also please be able to send over your system status so we can get a better idea of what might be going on? You can grab it by going to:

    WooCommerce > Status?and clicking on?Get system report.

    Thanks so much!

    Hi,

I have the same issue as the original post.

As I am only able to use one pixel assigned to my personal account however I have a business manager account and manage multiple Facebook pages.

Are there implications with using the same Facebook pixel to sync products to two separate Facebook pages that are separate businesses? Or what is the workaround for this at the moment, please.

    Simon

    (@simonskyverge)

    Hey @binchliffe,

Thanks for getting in touch! A lot has changed with the most recent release of the plugin, as Business Manager is now a requirement to connect the plugin. This opens the door to managing multiple pages and pixels however!

As your issue sounds slightly different to the original poster here, could you please create a new topic so that we can focus on your issue specifically, as per the forum guidelines?

When you do, it would also be great if you could let us know what version of the plugin you’re currently running and what options you have when running through the setup wizard. The previous version of the plugin only allowed personal ad accounts to be selected, but with v2 you should be able to choose any pixel that is managed by your business manager account!

    Cheers,

    Simon.

I’m having a similar issue. I can’t add a pixel which is linked to a personal ad account and it has months worth of data from our website, which I don’t want to lose.

    Hi @srmcroser,

Thanks for reaching out about the plugin. I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue as well. Since you’re not the person who originally started this topic then, per the forum guidelines, would you please start your own topic? We’ll be more than happy to help there ??

    Thanks,
    Tamara
