Hi,

Since 12 February 2020 at 12:55:46 GMT, most incoming orders has “Pending Payment” order status at the backend of our site instead of “Processing”.

These orders are paid via PayPal. The payment received successfully and payment status on Paypal is COMPLETED.

Having the exact same problem. No changes in PayPal settings, no plugin updates, just getting “Pending Payment” for all orders paid via PayPal. They are paid, I checked inside the PayPal dashboard.

We have the exact same problem too. I’ve pinned it down to being only Visa payments – Amex works fine. What happens is that an order is marked ‘processing’ and then within seconds its status is changed to ‘pending’, even though the transaction goes through perfectly fine.
We use Lloyds CardNet and they say the problem is with Woo. I’ve disabled every plugin except CardNet and Woo and really simple SSL and I have changed the theme to 2020, but am still getting the error.
Has anyone got any ideas? I’ve attached the status report below:

Well after weeks, and I mean weeks, of disabling various plugins and testing… I finally found the cause of my issue. Woocommerce…. settings…. payments… check the manage the payment you are having an issue with – in my case Visa. My ‘Captured Status’ was set to change the status of the order to Pending. I changed it to ‘Don’t change order status’ and it works now. ??
