Wrong number of users

  • In my WP I have only TWO users: me, that is, the administrator, and a collegue of mine, as Editor. If I look at list of users I see only two, as expected, but in the left side menu, the number close to “USERS” item is 285! Why?

    if you suspect there might be unknown users, check in directly in your database in the users table. be sure the users do not have any permissions that allow changes in your site.

    do you have access to the database in your webhosting account?

    The _user table conbtains only TWO records as expected, the _usermeta 477. Any idea why?
