Wrong Login name and old email showing

  • Hi all,

    I’ve had this blog up for a while https://www.capitalistslog.com, but have not been updating it often. However, I’m getting emails saying I have posts to my forum so tonight I tried to login to my admin panel to administer.

    It says Invalid Username. My autofill has every username I can remember using so this doesn’t make much sense.

    Not sure what the solution is. Another issue is that the email for the Login feature is showing my email but with my previous ISP (which was bought out and thus that portion is wrong and I cannot receive mail at that email anymore)!

    However, my WP account is sending me email to my updated email so at least that is current.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Do you have more direct access to your MySQL database, such as through phpMyAdmin or cPanel on your hosted account? You could look up your username that way (but your password will be encrypted). You could also change your email address there.
