• Just noticed that Syntax comes with translations. However for the Dutch translation ‘nl’ is used for the locale of the po and mo files. This should be ‘nl_NL’ otherwise it will always show the English version.

  • Our internationalization team is aware of the issue and is making some changes to the way the included language files are named.

For now, you’ll need to make the the modification manually. Thanks.

If you update the theme in the future before the language filenames are tweaked, you can avoid overwriting your newly renamed language files in two ways:

    – you can do a manual update via FTP, leaving the existing languages folder in your theme (on the server) intact
    – you could create a child theme and enqueue your language files, so they are not touched when you update the theme.

If you need any further help, just let me know.
