• Hello!

My post-notification-newsletter contains the links to socials and to the latest products released. When I send me a test email everything is fine, but the newsletter received by my subscribers, any link of the newsletter points to the homepage, and not to the homepage where the mailpoet is installed mystoxx.it/mystoxx, all the links point to mystoxx.it/

    What’s wrong?

    mailpoet version 4.6.0

    server linux php 7.4.33

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi there @stoxx,

    Thanks for reaching out!

MailPoet grabs your site’s URL from your site’s setup and it seems like somewhere it resolves to mystoxx.it instead of mystoxx.it/mystoxx.

To workaround that, you can set up Linux cron: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/257-setting-the-server-side-cron-linux-cron

Let us know how it goes!

Hi Elvira, It’s not a cron matter because the requested job to trigger a newsletter to 1k readers should not affect the website cron. Also, Aruba.it does not allow to handle the linux cron for a reasonable amount.

I believe there are some troubles related to the older installation of wysija, mailpoet 1, 2 and then 3 all in the same web directory, I’ll take time to clean up directories and database, I think this may work, unless there’s any other idea

Hello, uninstalled mailpoet, removed all folders related, reinstalled mailpoet. Everything works including sending me test emails, but when I want to activate a newsletter i end in the loading bpage with three dots, and nothing else happens. At least for two hours! what’s the matter here?

    Hey again @stoxx !

Can you tell us a bit more about this? It sounds like there’s a JS conflict on your site.

Can you switch your theme to a default one (Twenty Twenty) and disable all your plugins and see if MailPoet works?

If it does work, enable your theme and all your other plugins one after the other until MailPoet breaks again. You’ll be able to tell us what’s at fault.

You can refer to this article: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/204-how-to-test-for-plugins-conflict

Let us know how that goes!

removed all themes except twenty twenty one , removed all unused plugins, disabled all plugins except woocommerce (because the newsletter will display new products). But yet I can’t pass thru the page of newsletter activation, the one with three dots.

I wonder if it would be better to remove the plugin mailpoet, remove all the tabs in the database starting with wp_mailpoet_ and reinstall mailpoet from scratch.

    May it work?

I think that is worth a try, yes. Let us know how that works for you.

    I tried:

    deactivated all plugins except woocommerce

new tabs in database (there still were wysija tabs too, all removed)

    new mailpoet installation

new key activation code so new automatic email from mailpoet well received

everything now is set up to run but I ended up in the same three dots page. Now it’s already 10-15 minutes I wait the finish something so I believe the problem is still there.
I don’t want to switch to a different service because I prefer the customisations mailpoet offers, but what should I try now?
