Wrong link for social sharing buttons in widget

I can not reproduce this problem, its working ok to me.

I tried changing the permalink structure, but it keeps putting the same article into the link.
Changed the title from the article (it contained slashes) but that also didn’t help.

I changed the article from published into a concept, but than just the article before is being added in the link.

Disabled some plugins and even changed the theme. Nu luck…

Do you have some more suggestions?

Now i see the problem. Is there a post with a name like “van-het-secretariaatbestuurredactie”, and if so is it the first post or is there something special to say about this post, like its id or … ?

The post exists.

It’s not the first post. At the main page it was on the bottom of that page. I made that post a concept. Then just the post after it (older one) shows up in the social link.

The ID is 658173, nothing special about it I guess, it’s just a normal post as the others.
The only special post on that page is the first one because it’s a sticky post.

I made a new post (which now is second on the startpage) called Test. Now the new post on the bottom of the page is included in the social link. It looks like that the 10th last post gets included in the link somehow.

Ah, I got a bit further.
The number 10 got my attention.

At the settings > Read (in Dutch Lezen) there is a setting for the maximum messages to be shown on the startpage using the latest messages.

I changed the number from 10 into 15 and now the link being generated is showing the 15th topic.
When I changed it to 1, it shows my Test message in the link.

So, the value of get_permalink() is wrong in this case, in the widget.

The widget does not know ( so i don’t either ) to what page or post the sm link should point when initiated from a widget, as the widget can be independant of the main page content.

So, my question is now: how do i get the information what page or post the sm link should point to…?

The permalink structure you use is ok. What i want to know is, to what page or post should the link on sm bring you when you click on the link in the sm.

When the sm button is on a page, you will be directed to that page ( with the photo on it ), but now it comes from a widget, and the question is, what page should be shown, coming from the sm?

When I click on the Twitter button below the photo (of the day) it takes me to Twitter.

Right!, but on what post or page do you want that album to be. You can not link to an akbum, you can only link to a post or a page, but in a widget the page or post is not defined.

Do I need to configure this page somewhere? I marked IV-A10 and IV-A11 is Single Photo.

But photo isn’t visible.

You should not mark IV-A10 for this purpose.

The page content should be at least: [wppa type="landing"][/wppa]

I unmarked the setting and checked the landing page.
The page for the social media landing does contain [wppa type=”landing”][/wppa]

The syntax of the url is correct, you should see the photo.
