• Hello people of the internet,
this is a great plugin but it looks awful on AMP-pages generated with the official wordpress AMP plugin. It looks like this:

social sharing links on amp page

    Can you fix this please?

    Merry Christmas!

    Hello phip1611,

we added a code to remove Shariff from AMP pages a while back. Unfortunately the AMP plugin is also still very much work in progress, so the exclusion broke. We’ll fix it with the next release.

Getting the buttons to work with all AMP plugins will be impossible, but we will see to maybe get it working with the most common one in the future.

    Cheers,

    Hi JP

it would be fine, to see Shariff working with AMP. Basically the code is correct, onlky the css seems not to apply correctly. I amusing the official AMP Plugin too, so to make Shariff compatible would be great.

    Hi Hansj?rg,

The problem is that AMP does not allow separate CSS files or inline styles. So we will have to include all CSS in a static entry in the head of the amp page. Therefore we won’t be able to use all the customization that is currently implemented for AMP pages. Most likely we will offer an option to include the buttons in a default style. But we still need to write a complete separate set of CSS styles just for AMP pages. So it will take a while to find the best solution for a default AMP design and to develop it.

    Cheers,
    JP

    Hi JP

I see. Thanks for the detailed Explanation. From that Point of view, the best way for the Moment seems the possibility to exclude shariff on AMP

    Hi @all,

I am having the same problem, and I would like to exclude Shariff from the AMP version of my posts and pages. Does anybody have a hint on how to achieve this?

    Kind regards,

    Bernhard
