I’ve installed Complianz on several sites, all recognized italian language as default for both site default and user, and it worked fine, it translated perfectly all the admin backend tabs and created italian cookie policy.

In this site, altho is all set in italian, the backend is english (except for the Settings tab) and it create the policy and banner in english.

    Hi @enrimoizo,

Let’s start at the beginning, could you verify that your translation files are up-to-date? You can check this by navigating to WordPress > Updates and scrolling down, then clicking the Update translations button on the bottom of the page.

Just let us know if you have any further updates about this.

    Kind regards,

    Hi @jarnovos ,

thanks for your feedback. I am having the same problem. Last week it was working fine. I can’t say, why it changed. I am using WPML for multiple languages. In every language the cookie policy is English now. Also the Complianz backend is English, no matter, which admin language I select. In the WP Update page I don’t have the option to update languages, maybe because it’s handled by WPML. Do you have an idea, how I can fix this issue?

    Thank you!

    Hi @wprockets,

I would be glad to provide assistance with the issue you describe, but would it be possible for you to create a separate thread for this? This also increases the visibility of your question.

Because oftentimes, these issues can look very similar, but they might end up having a completely different cause.

    Thank you in advance.
    Kind regards,
    Jarno

    thanks for your repTy.
The website was running on 5.3 php. I updated php to 7.4 , disabled theme and plugins and updated them all , in the end, it auto updated translation for complianz too…
with 5.3 it was not updating translations and if you went to language update, it was shoing as it was already updated to last version.
