The Mailchimp widget shows the wrong label on the email address field. It shows “Email address”, while I have changed that to the Dutch “emailadres” in my form settings on mailchimp.com. The first name and last name fields are showing the translated labels correctly.

  • Hi @bkummel,

Thanks for the post. I understand the confusion here and I’m happy to help out. To clarify a bit, translating the Email address field, specifically, and all related success messaging requires a little code tweak, as detailed in this forum post. The steps to translate the email address field are as follows:

    1. Within the WordPress Admin Panel, click “Plugins” in the sidebar
    2. Locate the MailChimp plugin and select “Edit” to access the plugin files
    3. Locate the mailchimpSF_add_email_field function and edit the text “Email Address” as pictured in this screenshot: https://cl.ly/2C2r1z2x2c3z
    4. Click the blue “Update File” button to save those changes
    5. Navigate back to Plugins > MailChimp > Settings
    6. Select the “Update List” button to force the plugin to check with the file changes made and apply those updates made to the file.

That should get you headed in the right direction, but please feel free to reply back here if any additional help is needed.

    Thanks again!

    Pearl
