• I’ve installed the plugin, and set up three custom sizes. Two of these are not generating the correct sizes for horizontal images.

For example, I have a size with Maximum Width 585 and Maximum Height 585, no crop. For vertical images this works fine — when I go to insert an image I can select this size and the image will be, say, 400 pixels wide by 585 high. But for horizontal images it doesn’t work — the width is always 450 pixels, not 585, for example 450 wide by 317 high.

I have another custom size that’s Maximum Width 585 pixels, Maximum height is blank. Again, when I try to insert a horizontal image and select this size, it’s only 450 pixels wide.

I’ve tried deleting the custom sizes and re-creating them. I’ve tried regenerating thumbnails for the specific image. I’ve tried uploading a new image. None of these has worked. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi,

Maybe the image you have just uploaded is not minmum 585px wide, so WordPress get the max size it can make.

Add a maximum height like 99999 if you want to have unlimited height.
