    Hi guys,

I’m facing with this issue for a long time. I have vertical images for a featured post image. Amp for wp plugin generates only horizontal images for the related posts. So all vertical images look ugly and stretched.

Hi, thank you for reaching out to us. Could you please share the exported AMP optional panel settings with us? This will allow us to check it on our end and provide you with a quick resolution.

For your convenience, here is the reference tutorial: https://ampforwp.com/tutorials/article/how-to-import-and-export-the-amp-option-panel-settings

Also, please confirm the theme also which you are using.

I just want that images have corret size and not look like stretched. Like here https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/qg7fmp4b269fgyi8tnipo/AMPforwpscreen3.jpg?rlkey=lfam4oasxtsiay5dllzem08vw&dl=0

vertical images are displayed with proper dimensions and horizontal images as well too. If you compare to ampforwp output than you will see that all vertical images are displayed as horisontal images.

Hi, thank you for contacting us. We’ve looked into it, and here’s why it’s happening: AMP focuses on mobile app optimization. AMP prioritizes page speed by compressing various elements, including images. This compression may lead to stretched or smaller image sizes and reduced image quality, resulting in the problem you’re experiencing. Regrettably, there’s no solution available on our end due to AMP’s inherent functionality aimed at faster page speed.
