Using the plugin with Woocommerce and WC Vendors multi-vendors. Trying to share an individual vendors single product – the image used is not the product, but the logo from the site. I can’t figure out why this is happening.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

You can try by setting a featured image, however it’s not really reliable. For that reason we implemented a separate mechanism in this plugin https://www.ultimatelysocial.com/usm-premium/ which is foolproof, and will ensure that you can define exactly which text and picture will be shared.

So you have to set a featured image, individually, for every single product that every vendor has in their store? That would be hundreds or thousands. It would take far too long. I guess I just don’t understand why the featured image already on the product page is not the one that is posted when the link is shared, rather than the logo of the site.

Oh maybe I was not clear. I just gave one example link, the problem exists on every single product page in the site. Every vendor’s product – the product image does not display when shared, only the site logo is seen.

Whether you use the featured image or our solution, in any case you will need to define which picture gets shared, per post. Otherwise, how is Facebook etc. supposed to know which one it should take?

Well, I do not know how to set a featured image on every product listing that is created. Each product has a “featured image” and a gallery. I would expect the featured listing would be the image that is used when shared, not the site logo. But even if I can use your plugin to select a different image to display, how would I keep up? Are you saying that every time a vendor created a new product in their shop I would have to go find the product listing and set a featured image via a plugin? Why does the plugin not just take the product image? This makes no sense to me.

It depends on how the meta-information is currently set up on your site. This depends on the theme and other plugins that are currently active on your site (which can also modify the meta info, like Yoast for example). In this plugin https://www.ultimatelysocial.com/usm-premium, there’s a way to override it by specifying exactly which image/title/description is shared.
