Wrong fonts on the Home Page

    WP version: 6.5.2 FR / PHP: 8.1
    Theme: Automobile Hub Pro (Themespride) 1.2.2.

    LiteSpeed cache plugin: 6.2
    Other Plugins: WPforms, SEOKey, Tablepress, trustindex.io, Hostinger AI
    Hosting: Hostinger

    Hello,

    I just setup LiteSpeed plugin with recommended parameters (advanced preset).

    But randomly the Home Page does not display the right fonts (but the default ones in my theme). Same in Incognito Mode in the broswer. Both on desktop and mobile. The WordPress first line (when I am logged in) also does not show up in this case. Sometime I see the wrong fonts then immediatelty replaced/refreshed by the right ones but not always.

    Something with the cache? Any tip?

    Hello!

    I am happy to help you with your problems.

    The quick font swap is because of how font are loaded. The parameter: display=swap will show the letters with first loaded font until the new font is loaded. This is ok, because text will stay visible.
    As a performance advices:

    1) please reduce the total fonts that are loaded. there are 10fonts + different font weight, style for each.
    It happened while I tested it: in that moment the fonts from google did not load and it showed a default font. Choose 2 max 3 fonts + weight and styles.

    2) There are scripts added right at begging of <head>. For speed optimization this is recommended to be as down as possible.
    BUT because GTM need to be in head I suggest you move it down, after CSS style tags. Test both positions and see what is the best position for you.

    3) Keep current preset and try combining and minifying CSS and JS, this will reduce the number of requests per page. BUT test the pages very good, not to have errors(visually and JS console).
    Admin page: /wp-admin/admin.php?page=litespeed-page_optm and test different setup until the page is looking ok.

    Hello !

    Many thanks. I can choose fonts but I will have to raise a ticket to the theme editor ThemesPride because they are in charge of the programming.

    Any idea why did not Google fonts load?

    Maybe query rate limit on Google
    Quick reloads created the issue for me

    Hello,

    I changed what I could and I raised the programing topics to the theme editor.

    I still have the fonts load that does not work sometime. Is there a way to pre-load the Google fonts to avoid this?

    And now I do not see the menu bar nor the blog section anymore… Even in incognito mode.

    The things I told you need to be taken step by step, change them one by one, and always test the result by clearing cache and test on browser that is not logged in.


    Also there is this error: The stylesheet https://premiumautoconseil.fr/importation-de-vehicules-porsche-audi-bmw-mercedes/ was not loaded because its MIME type, “text/html”, is not “text/css”.

    hello re the error something with cache? This page is a standard WP article and is loaded properly

    Please contact the developer who worked on the site and try to figure out the issue.
    I am not aware of all the settings and plugins you have active on site and I do not want to tell you wrong things to apply/do

    Yes I have contacted the Theme developer but they told me this is coming from LiteSpeed cache plugin.

    This is true, if I disable the plugin or the cache, or if I type https://premiumautoconseil.fr/?LSCWP_CTRL=before_optm everything works fine but without optimisation of course

    I have the same problem. My google font Marcellus does not load on home page.

    https://www.sommellerie.co.za – font defaults to serif. Ugly.
    https://www.sommellerie.co.za/?LSCWP_CTRL=before_optm – looks beautiful, like it should, with my beautiful font Marcellus on the front page.

    Because i had major css issues on the home page, all CSS and Java optimisation settings are turned OFF.

    Any remedies please?

    @lolo44500 the site seems ok now:

    • the link 404 is gone.
    • Try disabling guest mode: LTSWP -> General -> General Settings -> turn off: Guest mode and Guest Optimization

    Thank you, i already tried this. Did not work. My dropdown menus also don’t work on home page, suddenly.

    @lolo44500 If you disable it, the page speed insight will show a lower score, but the site will move as fast as it was before.
