    One of our visitors left a 1 star review, but with a great review. he says he didn’t see the stars… which is nonsense as ticking the stars is mandatory.

    I reckon he’s just got confused.

    Is there any way to amend his star rating or do I bin it and ask him to do it again?

    The code snippet in that link will allow you to use the Custom Fields metabox in Reviews. With that, you can change the rating number.

    I suggest you only enable it to change the rating, and then disable it as soon as you are done.

    Also, if you change the rating in this way, make sure to click the “Recalculate Counts” button on the Site Reviews > Tools page afterwards.
