• Whenever I post a link to my blog, it uses an excerpt from a blog post. It also does this when it comes up in Google.

    For example:

    Instead of an excerpt from a blog post I’d like it to say a general statement about the blog. How can I change it?

    I don’t want to display the whole post. But I don’t want to display an excerpt from a blog post. Is it not possible to display a general statement about the blog ie so when people search for my blog they see a description of the blog rather than a blog extract?

    That allows me to write an excerpt for a blog post. I want to do that for the entire blog.

    For example, if I link to my blog homepage on facebook, I don’t want the excerpt to be of the latest blog post but a general statement about my blog.

    You can install plugin for it. Yoast SEO is the best plugin for your requirement.

    You can write meta description for each page and post using this plugin.
