Wrong date displayed for comments.

    All comments submitted get dated with the same date the post date is.

    Something must be causing the post date to override the comment’s date.

    Which file needs to be fixed? The comments.php or the functions.php (or both)?

    I’d suggest looking in comments.php first – then functions.php.

    I’ve been looking for many hours, but honestly I’m not sure if I’d notice something that isn’t right.

    I found and fixed the problem!!!

    The issue was a wrong template tag in the comments.php file.

    It had in its php the_time instead of comment_time.

    As soon as I replaced the_time with comment_time, it worked the way it is supposed to.
