Wrong currency displayed by shortcode

    Hi. Using latest version of Shopify WP plugin, all of my prices are showing with a dollar sign. In my shopify store, the currency is set to GBP.

    I’m using the plugin shortcode to embed a collection. I think this problem might have developed with a recent plugin update – that’s all that has changed on the site since products were displaying, correctly, with a pound sign.

    Hi Mark,

    There weren’t any changes made to how currency symbols are added or displayed in the product embeds.

    If your currency is set to GBP in your Shopify account, I would recommend you check if your currency description is set to the symbol that you want.

    My Shopify account is set up correctly (see attached). I can’t find an option anywhere else, whether in the WP plugin settings or in the Shopify admin, where I could change the currency symbol.

    I also tried changing this with CSS (:first-letter pseudo-element), but can’t seem to get my CSS to apply to the shopify-rendered elements.

    Please help – as it stands my WP site is displaying incorrect information. Can I give you any other info to help troubleshoot?

    Hi Mark,

    It seems that your site is showing the GBP symbol now.

    What did you change that fixed this issue?

    Hi Mark,

    Here is a screenshot of what I see on your site:

    I wonder, try changing the symbol in your Shopify settings to see if that affects your product listings.

    Yes, it’s correct now. I didn’t change anything on the site or on Shopify between it showing dollar sign (wrong) and pound sign (correct).
