Hi, I have purchased the Pro. version of this plug-in and am using it to generate proforma invoices. However the Chinese characters cannot correctly shown in the PDF file – all the Chinese characters were shown as small blocks. Pls advise how to resolve this issue? Thanks! If this plugin is not compatible with Chinese character input, I’d like to ask for a refund.

    Hi Lillian,
Please send an email to [email protected]. We have a language pack for Chinese!

I’m having the same issue with Thai characters. Are the language packs only available for the Pro version? And is there a Thai pack available?

Hi! Yes, the language packs are only available for people that have a license of the Premium templates or Professional extension. You can also create one yourself by following the documentation: https://docs.wpovernight.com/woocommerce-pdf-invoices-packing-slips/using-custom-fonts/

    Hope that helps!

Thanks! I tried that and am able to put Thai text into the Template… but it I still get square blocks for the users address when they use Thai fonts. Is that another setting somewhere?

That’s strange, that actually sounds like it could be related to your server/php environment. In the Status tab of the settings, is ‘MBString extension’ green or orange? Orange would indicate it’s missing a library that it needs to convert between character sets… Your host should be able to help in that case, let them know you need PHP MBString (only when it’s orange though).
