Wrong Canonical Tag

    this website is showing wrong canonical tag.

    It is showing <link rel=”canonical” href=”//newroof.ie/” />

    But it should show: <link rel=”canonical” href=”https://newroof.ie/&#8221; />

    I checked everything from my end. I think it’s rank math plugin issue.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Thank you for reaching out to us and bringing your concern to our attention.

    Rank Math takes the current permalink structure you set in your WordPress settings and uses the current protocol to have set there.

    Upon checking your website, there are also other tags outside the scope of Rank Math that has URLs without protocols.

    In this case, please head over to your WordPress Dashboard > Settings > General, and in the “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)” fields, make sure that the protocol (http or https) is included. If not, add it to the beginning of the URL.

    Hello @taarruunnnn,

    Can you please confirm if you are using Cloudflare and WP Rocket? If yes, then please disable the Relative Protocol option in WP Dashboard > WP Rocket > Settings > Cloudflare to fix the issue.
