Wrong canonical on category pages

I think this is covered by a bug report on github.There are several canonical issues which occur. Personally I don’t index sub archive pages so it shouldn’t matter too much in my case.

That’s strange.

Is this happening only on this category or all other categories as well?

It depends on the number of articles per page in the blog roll.
Perhaps an option to define the number of posts we want to see per page could fix that?
We could make it match with the number of posts that are displayed on the non amp version, and therefore avoid creating amp pages that do not have a corresponding non-amp page.

We are using the default number of loop posts (what you set in reading settings we take that only).

May be it’s conflicting with Theme. I am not sure, But I have also checked on my end and it is working perfectly here.

My point is that the canonical URL for archive pages /page/x/ should be the root page of the archive.

On desktop and mobile:
https://www.abdef.com/category/blablabla/page/7/ —-> the canonical is https://www.abdef.com/category/blablabla/

On amp:
https://www.abdef.com/category/blablabla/amp/page/7/ —-> the canonical is https://www.abdef.com/category/blablabla/page/7/

It should be https://www.abdef.com/category/blablabla/amp/
