When I check the canonical on an Author page for example website.com/blog/author/author-name/ I see that it points to website.com/blog/author/ . Is this something that can be configured? I can’t seem to find where to do it.

    Hello!

I’m unable to reproduce this issue, so a link to the problematic page would be most helpful!

The link is generated by WordPress’ very own get_author_posts_url() function; TSF doesn’t modify it other than correcting the pagination and setting the correct scheme (HTTP or HTTPS).

Now, it could be that another plugin or theme is interfering. For example, the theme could output its custom canonical URLs, which it shouldn’t. Or, a plugin could filter WordPress’ get_author_posts_url() function via author_link, which it also shouldn’t.

Issues like these are hard to pinpoint, mainly since TSF heavily relies on WordPress’ API, which is open and pluggable. Deactivating plugins one by one until the URL is correct is a good way to find the culprit.

I see. Here’s a sample link https://ph.phonebooky.com/blog/author/nicole-serrano/ , will try your suggestion of disabling plugins to find the culprit. thank you
