'wrong ajax action: add_slide' error in Revolution Slider

  • I was trying to add a new slide to my existing slider (Revolution Slider) but I got this error:

    ‘wrong ajax action: add_slide’

    I tried duplicating an existing slide but that resulted in a similar error. What on earth is causing this and how can I fix it? Thanks in advance!

    Can it be caused by another plugin that I’m running on the site?

    try to update your plugin to the latest version,the latest one if i’m not mistaken is version 4.6.91,

    Fixed wrong ajax action: update_slider occuring in 4.6.8

    I tried to update by ticking the box and opting for ‘update; but nothing happened. If you try to update by clicking ‘update’ at the bottom of the slider it asks for the installation package. I don’t have a clue where I can find it. It has been sometime ago. Through FTP perhaps?

    I’m getting the exact same error and it looks like my slider was hacked. I just added the new version last week. If you hover over the right side of the slider and click on it, it goes to different websites.

    If someone can help that would be great!
