Writing as www-data user

HEllo,
I have an issue, i have 3 admin users on the site and each can upload to folders that they have created but can not upload to each others folders and this seems to be a file permission error, i can see on the server that list yo files is creating directories and files under the www-data user, how can i change this? as i can not change file permission on those folders as i can not login as www-data user on my server
