  • This is all about theme’s CSS. So I assume you’ve posted in the wrong section.

    Anyway, Lemme start off by few points…

    You have 288 links on your homepage. 50 of them are external links and only 5 of them have nofollow tag. SEO Killer.

    You have ~123 images and music playing in the background.

    So all that slows things down and gives and long page spammy look.

    Skipping all that to solve your problem…
    Go and edit this file “/wp-content/themes/writers-blog/style.css”

    Under #contentwrap h1 you’ll find this value
    background: #DDE5AC; change it to background: #ff9999;

    You’re welcome!

    Ok, yes I well I wasn’t sure if it was the CSS or possibly some technical issue because although I was able to change the colour of the box OK (DDE5AC looked the best rather than ff9999), I can’t get rid off that annoying white stroke at the end of my title. Its still there and I can’t see anything in the CSS to get rid of it?

    Any other ideas?

    Hi,
    The problem is in your html at Line 5 <title>forthememories-nerridamitchell.com | </title> – you just need to delete it from the title. ??

    Moved to correct forum.

    Thx MargSBVS, I can see what you mean in the souce but it is nowhere to be found in the CSS editor page of my admin. I have done a word search and it can’t find ‘title’ anywhere. I don’t know what to do now? It seems like that part of the code in not able to be accessed or something??? WOndering if its a problem with the Writers blog theme.
