I’m trying to untick the Administrator, Editor, Author,
Contributor, Subscriber checkboxes in ‘Write options – Post’ -> Title, but they won’t save, they all keep coming back as ticked. It’s only this row I’m having a problem with. I’ve increased max_vars to 3000 as suggested in another thread but to no avail. Is there a way of forcing the setting in the database or something? Another issue which may or may not be related is that clicking the ‘Export’ button just points to a blank page. I’m running WP Multisite 4.6. Thanks for your help.

Just to add to this – definitely something flaky about using this in multisite – top-right user login dropdown disappearing, user roles not being able to access Dashboard, etc. Same behavior even after deleting database entries and deleting and reinstalling the plugin.

Reverted to activating site-per-site & it’s working fine – so far – but it’s a royal pain not only having to customize each site individually, but also not being exempted from the changes as super admin. Is there a way of exempting a user by ID as well as role? Thanks.

No, no possibility to use the exceptions to the ID of users, not the role. Always the role is the key to prevent to hide areas.

If you active the plugin in a Multisite, active network wide, the options are in the global options table – one option entry for all sites. But you can update, set the options in each site of the network. The plugin have no chance in one of alle sites to get all items – that’s makes so hard to create a mu solution about the network with one setting page for all sites.
