When writing a number in scientific notation I can write for example 8.5e-18 and choose the “number” option in “number format”

and this works without problem on desktop pc

but when testing the calculator on a mobile phone having chosen “number” only the numeric keypad will be opened and I cannot write the “e” of the exponent

This is solved by choosing “digits” and here if you open the full keyboard of the mobile phone, but you get the error “Please enter only digits” when putting the “e”

How should I do to enter numbers in scientific notation and that it works on mobile phones without getting any errors?

    Thank you.

    Hello @mevabien22

You should select the “Number” option as the “Format Number” attribute in the field’s settings.

    Best regards.

But if I select “number” on mobile phones, only the numeric keypad opens and the letter “e” cannot be entered to indicate the exponent.

    Hello @mevabien22

Please, enter the comma symbol (,) into the attribute: “Symbol for grouping thousands”, this force the plugin use an input tag with type="text" instead the type="number"

    Best regards.
