    Hey guys,

    This plugin is great, let me tell u that. It does nearly, everything that is required for GDPR. The only issue I have with it is that I cannot change some parts that are in english, my websites need romanian. I already saw there are some translations for romanian, 18% done, but there isn’t a way, until u guys translate it all to just change some front-end stuff? Like the little things the user sees like “Consent Management” thing to say the same but in romanian? Also, when you update the plugin, where can i change the language for it? To show what you guys worked on already?

  • You can use poedit to create your own language files from the .pot file provided with the plugin.

    Ok thanks I did that. But where do I put the .po and .mo files? tried either in wp-content/languages and it doesn’t work, tried in wp-content/plugins/gdpr/languages and it doesn’t work, tried in both and it doesn’t work. The files are translated, the parts I needed, but I dunno where to put them. Also tried downloading the official translation but that doesn’t work either because I may not know where to put it, in the 2 locations it doesn’t work.

    In the wp-content/languages folder, you should find a folder with the name plug-ins/GDPR. Inside that folder are some other language files.
    You can store your files there and you should see your translated strings.

    If you want to contribute with the Romanian translations it would be great. I depend on users to translate the plugin.

    thanks PC , i figured it out 5 sec after I posted my reply. stupid me :). anyway thanks for the replies.
    @fclaussen i have translated some things in the front end , what the user actually sees, i have the .po and .mo files. where can i send them to you?

    Hi, i put .po and .mo files in wp-content/languages/plugins/GDPR folder (i needed to create that GDPR folder inside the wp-content/languages/plugins folder) and i don’t see that translated strings.

    Also where can i send the translated files for Croatian language, if you need that translation ??
