    Hi,

The following notice has been appearing on my site when my Yoast SEO plugin is activated:

Deprecated: class-opengraph-image.php is deprecated since version WPSEO 14.0 with no alternative available. in /home/const522/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4913

I gather from elsewhere in the forum that the problem is related to certain plugins. However, I’m not using any of the plugins cited. My site is up to date, including Yoast SEO 14.4.1.

I’m not a coder, but I can find my way around public_html via cPanel….

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Thomas Ward

    Hello Thomas,

    Thanks for reaching out!

It looks like something on your site is still using the deprecated wpseo_opengraph action and as such you’re experiencing the issue. We’re sorry that you are experiencing problems that might be caused by our plugin!

Just to be sure, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to?deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme?like?Twenty Nineteen.?

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check?without affecting normal visitors to your site.

As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.

    Thanks!

    Hi Maybellyne,

I performed a Plugin/Theme Conflict Test and determined that the conflict is with my AWPCP plugin. (Another WordPress Classifieds Plugin).

As instructed, I have also contacted AWPCP about this and filed a bug report on Github for Yoast SEO.

    Thanks for your help,

    Thomas

@tdwnyc Thanks for confirming that you were able to determine which plugin was still using the wpseo_opengraph filter. As the filter was deprecated as of the 14.0 release of Yoast SEO, the notification you receive is not a bug, but rather Yoast is warning you that the plugin is calling a filter that is deprecated.

If a plugin was previously using the wpseo_opengraph filter, it is recommended that the developer update their plugin to add a new meta data presenter per this documentation: https://developer.yoast.com/blog/yoast-seo-14-0-adding-metadata/

    Hi @tdwnyc ,

We’re closing this thread as there seem no further questions from you. Please feel free to open a new thread should you have further concerns.
