Hello to the developers of WPS Hide Login,

Thank you for providing this plugin, to make my WordPress websites more secure.

Today I noticed that on the websites where I have this plugin installed and configured, the link to /wp-admin/about.php goes to a 404 page. On other websites, after I log in, the about.php takes me to a page describing the current WordPress release.

This is only an inconvenience to me, because there are other ways to find out what’s in a WordPress core release. But I thought you (and others) should know in case you want to fix it or having that about.php link working is important to others.

I only learned about the about.php link because today WordPress sent an announcement about the automatic update to WordPress 6.0.2 and the message contained this link to learn more about the new version: https://mvlibraryfriends.org/wp-admin/about.php .

    Cheers,
    Carol

I had the bright idea to try, as a workaround, https://mvlibraryfriends.org/abcd-login/about.php, to see if that would reveal the WordPress version info page. No, still 404.

(And note, I’ve not given my real WPS Hide Login, for security.)

    Hello,

Thanks for using WPS Hide Login.

The link to your-website.com/wp-admin/about.php only works when you’re logged in and it’s not due to WPS Hide but to WordPress.
