It works but only with Page Caching disabled. You can find a bit more about it here. Let me know if any questions, glad to help.

    Hi Jeff,
can I get more info on how Blackhole plugin uses init hook? Can’t that be replaced with an ajax call after page its loaded?

I’m looking for recommend blackhole to my customers but I need to be sure it will work for them.

Yes, it may be possible to implement blackhole via Ajax, just have not had time to dig into it yet. Believe me, you are not alone in wanting more information on cache plugins, so it’s definitely on the to-do list.

I understand it is important, just not something I am able to spend time with right now, gotta pay the bills before spending time on any free projects. I hope you can understand.

hi, was wondering the same thing — is this now fixed with cache plugins? specifically, well….WP Rocket?

Research and development is ongoing for caching plugins. They always seem to be changing, so things never remain the same for long. Here is a post that summarizes our work so far on cache plugins that are compatible with Blackhole. It shows WP Rocket on the list, provided that “Page Caching” is disabled should work fine. If you discover any further infos, please let me know. Thank you!
