    Hello!

On my site, I encountered a problem that the plugin constantly displays in the statistics also articles that I completely deleted (not just moved to the trash)

I need the plugin to work properly so it doesn’t show these deleted test articles.

The widget is set to display the most read articles in the last 7 days.

I do not use any cache plugins.

I tried too empty cahce, clear all data, not working…
Turn on and off plugin – not working.

    Hi @boricko,

If you’re not using a caching plugin on your website then it’s likely that your hosting is automatically caching your website for you: some hosting providers, like Site Ground or WPEngine for example, provide their own page caching mechanism. If that’s your case then make sure to flush their page cache for changes to take effect.

If that’s not the case then please go to Settings > WordPress Popular Posts > Debug, and share the information shown on that screen here so I can have a look.

Almost forgot: also please go to Settings > WordPress Popular Posts > Tools, and make sure that Ajaxify widget is set to Enabled.

It is possible but I cant flush it on my own.

Try reaching out to your hosting provider and ask them about it (whether they have some sort of page caching in place or not).

So the only thing I’m seeing is that you set the plugin to cache the popular posts data for one hour (Data Caching: Yes, 1 hour). The plugin should detect when a post has been deleted and flush its data cache right away but it’s not doing it for some reason so I’ll have to look into it and fix that in a future release.

For the time being do any of the following:

    • Reduce the data cache time-to-live from one hour to, for example, 1 minute. This way changes will be reflected much faster and your popular posts will be refreshed right away.
    • Disable the data cache feature after deleting a post, then enable it again.
    • Disable the data cache feature for now.
