Been using the chat feature as a way to track and log workplace activity for separate locations across the U.S. Since we started using it, the time has always been accurate to the timezone of the location logging in.

Recently, (as of 9/29/17 at approximately 0330 CST) the timestamps for chat entries have started to be adjusted for the timezone of the WordPress server instead of the computer terminal making the chat entry. For accurate record keeping purposes I would appreciate any input on how to change back, or a way to set the timezone for each individual chat box.

    Hello @bpeirce,

I’m sorry for the delay in responding, we missed your post. You marked this as resolved, so you were able to find the culprit or solution to this issue – is that correct?

    kind regards,

I was under the impression that there was some underlying timestamp code that pulled the time from the client for record keeping and was in error. This feature is either not present or not available to me and other plug-ins are not proving effective. It was instead another person with settings privileges altering the time zone. I have since corrected this and marked the ticket as resolved.
