WPML translations ignored
-
Hi!
I installed your great plugin, edited the template to my needs and was already about to show it to client, but only needed to translate the English strings into local language.
First I encountered a problem with WPML that it would run out of 256MB memory while scanning this relatively small plugin.
So I manually increased memory limit to 512MB for WPML string scanner.Next, I entered the translations in WPML String Translations only to find out the plugin is completely ignoring anything I enter there.
That is while generating the invoice PDF.I thought that this must be a bug somewhere so I tried a few things:
– checked error logs – nothing
– checked & updated wpml to latest – nothing
– re-downloaded your plugin – nothing
– added another string in your plugin’s textdomain and rescanned the plugin – nothing
– restarted server to try and clear any cache – nothingI tried this in two WP installations – test and production environment with exact same results.
Both installations also feature a bunch of other plugins which work fine with WPML dislaying dozens of translations from WPML just ok on every page load.I am assuming that this plugin does not support WPML?
It’s not mentioned on description page, but, since I saw “_e()” calls being used in code, I thought there should be no problem as the other plugins also work the same way.Are translations which come from WPML somehow overrided in this plugin?
Are there any things that I could/should check to see if they enable translation support?I also searched in WPML support forums, but the “plugin is ignoring WPML” issues there seem to mostly be related to configuration problems or issues with plugins themselves.
Could you assist anyhow?
Thank you for great plugin!
