• Hi,

i’m working on a website with german and english language. The glossary is working fine on my german installation. I also use WPML, because this plugin should be compatible. But i can’t see the english glossary page.

In the CM Tooltip Glossary options page under “General Settings” i am using my own german page “Glossar” and selected it at “Glossary Index Page ID”. Works fine for the german part. I can also translate the content of the german page to english with WPML (only a headline and some text). But on the english site, the glossary items are not visible. I see them only on the german site?

As usual with other plugins, i can switch to english language in my admin bar while being on the CM Tooltip Glossary options page, choose the english page at “Glossary Index Page ID” -> in my case “Glossary” as the english version. But then it ouputs only in english and clears the value for the german site… !? When i switch the language back, the German options says “select”…

It seems i can use only one site for outputting the glossary.

Does anyone have a proper solution for me? Am i missing something?

    Thank you!

    Hi,

Try to set the Glossary Index Page ID to the english version of the page. Then add a German translation of that page. In the option there should be only the original page.

    Hi,

I’ve deleted the german page “Glossar”. Then i set the Index Page ID to the existing english page “Glossary”. Afterwards i’ve been using the “+” in pages to translate the english glossary page to german. But it’s still not working…

The result is, that the english page is working now, but as soon as i want to open the new german page, it automatically redirects back to the english page!!??

Update, still broken: i’ve deleted both pages again. Then i switched to englisch language, set up the english page “glossary”, went to settings and put this site into index page id, the Glossary Terms Permalink is “glossary”. Then i’ve translated the english page into german and refreshed all permalinks. Now both pages are showing, but still only one of the two languages are showing the glossary, in this case the english version which i’ve set up as “Glossary Index Page ID”…

Was fiddling around with the problem. Still no other results. The german “Glossar” Page ist working, the englisch version doesn’t show the glossary…?? In any case, the glossary is just working for one single language, and the other one is missing…

Is there any solution for this?

It’s hard to tell what’s the issue without having access to the page. We’re sure that it’s possible to have a glossary with more than language, we have a lot of customers who did that in the Pro versions.

You can try to follow our documentation: https://creativeminds.helpscoutdocs.com/article/630-cm-tooltip-cmtg-wpml-translation

I don’t have the pro version of the plugin, only the free version.
And i’ve already tried this. I have a list of terms and the translation of these, but still no success. Meanwhile it mixes german and english terms when linking to them…

Could you take a look at the site, if i give you access to it?
